How You Can Help: Building the Future of Bayanihan 2.0
For over 15 years, the Bayanihan Foundation Worldwide has brought people together to support sustainable, community-led impact in the Philippines and the US, raising over $500,000 in public donations.
To ensure our charitable work remains sustainable through 2040 and beyond, we are pivoting toward a self-funding model powered by two social enterprises in Bicol, Philippines. The foundation will post more details about these social enterprises soon. Income generated from these enterprises will directly fund our long-term philanthropic work, including our NEXTGEN Program for young Filipino Americans, mangrove planting in Cebu, water well installations in Iligan, and educational drives in Samar.
To bring this sustainable vision to life, we need visionary donors, supporters, and partners to help us launch these foundation initiatives.
🎯 Specific Ways Donors & Partners Can Help
1. Seed Capital for Social Enterprise Launch
Help us build self-sustaining funding engines that will power our philanthropy for decades. Support our upcoming sustainable enterprises. Details coming soon.
2. Sustain Our Legacy Philanthropic Projects
While our enterprise engines are being established between now and 2028, direct donor contributions ensure our vital legacy projects continue uninterrupted:
-
Reignite the NEXTGEN Program: Fund travel stipends, cultural immersion workshops, and leadership training for young Filipino Americans.
-
Sponsor Coastal Ecosystem Restoration: Fund mangrove saplings and local youth development programs in Cebu.
-
Provide Essential Community Infrastructure: Sponsor the installation of clean water wells in Iligan or fund library and book donations for schools in Samar.
3. Corporate & In-Kind Goods Donations
If you operate a business, retail outlet, or supply chain in the US, you can directly fuel our social enterprise model:
-
Donate Brand-Name Overstock & Closeout Merchandise: Partner with us by donating quality surplus, discounted, or overstock apparel, footwear, and consumer goods to stock our MPR Maxx Closeouts Stores.
-
Logistics & Shipping Support: Help sponsor or facilitate container logistics for shipping closeout inventory and agricultural exports between the US and the Philippines.
4. Leadership, Advisory & Legacy Support
As we prepare for a phased transition toward identifying new leadership by 2034, we welcome strategic expertise:
-
Join Our Advisory Council: Share your legal, business enterprise, agricultural export, or non-profit governance expertise as we establish our affiliated entity in the Philippines.
-
Legacy Giving & Endowments: Make a long-term contribution or planned gift to anchor our operational sustainability as we transition leadership for the next generation.
