Filipino Muslim families in Tambacan village, Iligan City receive food packages during Ramadan
Since 2010, the Bayanihan Foundation had consistently supported multiple diaspora philanthropic efforts in Iligan City. These philanthropic donations are the building of six water wells; two latrines; two libraries; and feeding thousands of indigent Filipino Muslims during Ramadan and other Muslim holidays. The Bayanihan Foundation has leveraged funding with the support of local Rotary clubs and the Zakat Foundation. Dr. Vicente and Mrs. Luz Saavedra, Imam Atty. Saidali Gandamra, and many Rotarian leaders and volunteers have contributed to the phenomenal success of continued giving to Iligan.
In 2019, the Bayanihan Foundation plans to donate educational supplies to indigent students and replace two water wells. Join and donate to the Bayanihan Foundation for continued long-term impact in Iligan.
In 2025, the Bayanihan Foundation plans to support the creation of a library at a local elementary school in Iligan City, in honor of Dr. Vicente Saavedra and Mrs. Luz Saavedra. The Bayanihan Foundation acknowledges the continued generosity of Dr. Vincent and Mrs. Luz Saavedra for their many philanthropic fforts over the years.
